Pastor Patrick O. Billups, also known as “MrPastorDad,” is an experienced speaker, educator, and leadership consultant. Driven by a powerful intrinsic purpose perspective, he takes pride in creating encounters that will foster lasting impact with every opportunity he is granted. Through speaking opportunities, workshops, and programs, his goal is to spread the message of Jesus Christ, and to cultivate the effective blending of diversity among the Church. In addition to his primary job functions, Patrick O. Billups is well known for his extraordinary heart & commitment to diversity and community outreach & development.
Pastor Patrick O. Billups formally accepted his call into the ministry in 2007. God had previously blessed him with the position as minister of music in 2006. As a minister in training, Patrick continued the study of ministry by serving in many different ministries & capacities in conjunction with continuing education.
In November of 2009 New Creation Ministries officially recognized the call of God in his life, and licensed him as both a Minister and Minister of Music. Throughout the journey of preparation for ministry Pastor Billups has served in many ministries and been honored with many recognitions.
In 2010 Pastor Billups graduated from Christopher Newport University with a BA in Music with a Minor in Religious Studies. In 2012 Pastor Billups was ordained and appointed to a level of pastoral leadership. Pastor Billups and his family felt the mandate to plant a church in Mathews VA, and established RELEVANT CHURCH in 2014.
Pastor Billups and Relevant Church currently serve under the covering of Bishop Eugene V. Reeves, Presiding Bishop of Eagles Rock Communion of Christian Leaders.
Pastor Billups is happily married to his wife of over 12 years, Carmaleta, and has three wonderful boys! The twins (Gracen & Micah) and a recently born son (Christian). God has been truly faithful, and Pastor Billups and his family are excited to see what he does next!

Pastor Carmaleta Billups, Executive Pastor
Pastor Carmaleta, originally from Northern, VA, accepted her call to ministry at the age of 12. She has been trained and taught in the ministry while serving as a youth council member, youth leader, choir and praise team member, and minister in training. While a minister in training, Pastor Carmaleta spent time serving in her community by volunteering at the local Boys and Girls Club and creating a mentoring program for young girls. In 2010 she was licensed as a minister.
Pastor Carmaleta earned a Bachelors of Arts in Communication with a minor in Religious Studies from Christopher Newport University in 2010. She also earned her Masters of Arts in Human Services with a concentration in Christian Ministry from Liberty University in 2014.
Pastor Carmaleta has accepted the call that the Lord has placed on her life and thrives to live out the mission to reach the world for Jesus Christ and letting them know that none of us are defined by our circumstances and situation. There is hope and there is a future.
